Technology and Teaching - what is a "Smart Piano?"

Students now have iPads, iPhones, and iPods.  Phones are "smart" dishwashers are "smart" and even doggie collars are "smart" so how about pianos? Have they been left out? Oh no....to the contrary, the smart pianos we use (Clavinovas) add a tremendous dimension to how we teach and play at Music Pillars.  From our piano bands, to individual performances, the fun arrangements that we write and play with students creates more of a symphony or rock band performance than a simple acoustic piano. Take a look below at a few examples of students playing using the added fun and complexity of the smart piano...who wouldn't love to learn the piano on this thing right?  Parents - go get your son/daughter and have them watch this one-minute video of a student playing a theme from the Mario Brother's Video game - and see what they think. Pretty fun stuff!
