Maintaining a clean and healthy studio requires participation from everyone. The studio has the responsibility for keeping the equipment in clean and working condition and providing hand sanitizer and washroom facilities for the students and parents. There are also some ways that students and parents can participate in keeping everyone safe and healthy.  Here’s a video about what you can do to keep our studio clean & healthy.

  • State Approved Reopening Plan

  • Students will wait outside the building until a teacher comes to get them for their lesson.

  • No one is allowed inside the building except for students.

  • Students and Teachers will have their temperature taken before entering the building.

  • Students must wear a mask at all times while inside the building.

  • Parents must sign a waiver before their lessons at the studio.

  • Students will leave the building immediately after lesson. There is no waiting in the hallways or lobby.

  • Group lessons will have no more than 6 students in a class.

  • Group lesson individuals will maintain 6ft physical distancing.

  • Stay home and cancel your lesson if your child has or has had a temperature of, or over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit within 72 hours of their lesson. (please note that we reserve the right to, and will frequently use thermometer scanners (contactless) in assessing student’s healthiness to attend a lesson.

  • Please reschedule your lesson if someone in your house has or has had a temperature of over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit within 72 hours prior to your lesson.

  • Coughs with phlegm or mucus, excessive nasal drainage, vomiting or diarrhea, conjunctivitis or any thick or colored drainage from the eye are other reasons to cancel your lesson and stay home.

  • Students and parents need to wash their hands after using the restroom, wiping their nose or eyes, and coughing or sneezing. Restrooms will not be available at the studio as it is a shared space. For this reason, Music Pillars cannot guarantee that restrooms are disinfected regularly.

  • Students will be required to use disinfecting hand wipes and/or hand sanitizer before beginning their lesson.

  • Students can and do play an active role in keeping their home and studio instruments clean and in good working order.

  • Students will practice good “respiratory hygiene” by coughing and sneezing into their elbow. If a student coughs or sneezes into their hands, they need to accept the invitation from their teacher to use hand sanitizer or wash with soap and water in the restroom.
